| Two men who were working on the railroad were killed when this rock fell, and they are still buried underneath. The rock has been designated as a monument to those two men and others who died while building the railroad. |
Believe it or not, this is a waterfall. Like the rapids above, it is not well represented by a still picture. |

| If you look carefully, you can see the highway on the side of the mountain. Skagway is the only town we visited that is connected to the Alaska highway system (or any road system, for that matter) until we arrived in Seward. |
